Construction of 250 m concrete canal lining and cleaning in Logar Province

The Project for construction of 250 m concrete canal lining and cleaning of 2,800m canal was successfully completed in Labe rod e payan village, Khwakhi District of Logar Province.

On October 13, 2023 the Afghanistan Community Resilience and Livelihoods project initiated the construction activities of a 250 meters concrete canal lining and cleaning of 2800 meters canal in Khwakhi District of Logar Province. The project was completed in three months. The project provided short term job opportunities for a total of 52 skilled and unskilled laborers and a total of 66 households directly benefited from the completed works.

With the completion of this project, the capacity of the canal has been increased and supply irrigation water to 120 hectares of surrounding community agriculture land.
